Communication Leaders

Faculty Advisor:
Professor JOHN LAMMERS (jclammer@illinois.edu)

Communication Leaders are outstanding undergraduate Communication majors who act as ambassadors for the department. Communication Leaders work closely with faculty on new initiatives designed to help the department offer a high-quality education to our students. Leaders serve the department in several ways. They assist with the planning of academic and social events; they help publicize department events; they offer feedback on department matters; and they socialize with alumni who visit campus as guests of the department. Leaders devote approximately eight hours a month to the organization.

Communication Leaders develop their leadership skills while assisting the department. Leaders also develop stronger relationships with faculty through closer involvement in departmental activities. Members can list the organization on their résumé as evidence of excellence in the major and leadership skills. Leaders update the following website: THISISICOM.COM
